Before another camera is installed, another database is connected, or another data center is approved, the public deserves answers.

One discovery that was eye opening was seeing States Newsroom appear in the database of organizations that have received foreign funding. This is a nonprofit network, that includes an Idaho newspaper, the Idaho Capital Sun. The Idaho Capital Sun regularly covers the Idaho Legislature.

It is a textual guardrail ensuring that taxation and spending serve the general (national and collective) welfare through the specific, enumerated means the states delegated. Any other reading transforms the Constitution from a charter of limited, enumerated powers into the very consolidated government the ratifiers explicitly rejected.

Idaho Freedom Caucus member are proud of these efforts and happy to report that the 2026 budget and the 2027 budget have both decreased! It’s simple: if Idahoans must live within their means, so do state agencies.

This year, I ran nearly 40 bills and legislative measures, and I am proud to report that 29 of those passed all the way into law. That is a strong record of conservative leadership and real results for District 10 and the people of Idaho.

The present monetary arrangements of the United States are unconstitutional --even anti-constitutional—from top to bottom.

Will authorizing Congress to call a convention to reopen our nation’s foundational document in an already polarized political environment usher in unity, restraint, and calm? Will it really be a cure for financial calamity? I doubt it. And I suspect many Americans do too.

In times of frustration with Washington, there is often a temptation to look for sweeping or dramatic solutions. But conservative governance has always valued prudence over impulse. The Constitution already provides tools for states to assert their authority without reopening foundational questions or introducing uncertainty into the system.

Educated and engaged citizens are the foundation of good government. Limiting government growth is possible when we have honest conversations, transparency, and a willingness to tackle tough issues head-on. This is why I always try to promote open dialogue and public education on the critical issues facing Idaho.
