A Message From the Idaho Freedom Caucus.
Idaho has experienced unprecedented growth in the last ten years. While many people move simply to enjoy the natural beauty of our wonderful state, we also recognize that many individuals and families are political refugees from surrounding states. Many have made difficult decisions to leave behind family, friends, homes and more with the hope of a better life in Idaho.
As several of our Legislators and staff members have made the same decision, we understand deeply the journey of making a new state your home. We want to welcome you to Idaho and would love the opportunity to connect with you to answer any questions you have. With you in mind, the Idaho Freedom Caucus will continue to fight to keep Idaho Idaho.

The political landscape in Idaho is more intricate than one might expect. Many newcomers to the state come from more liberal regions, where lawmakers actively champion progressive policies. Although Idaho is recognized as a conservative state, there has been a noticeable influx of external influences aiming to transform our beautiful and free state. This shift is not primarily driven by new residents, most of whom are conservative voters fleeing oppressive governance, but rather by the infiltration of funds from NGOs and lobbying organizations. Here are four tips to help you better grasp the political dynamics of Idaho.
Everyone is a Republican... or are they?
Idaho has a long, proud history of conservative values and leadership. That legacy is exactly why so many families have chosen to call Idaho home—a safe place to raise children, start a business, explore the outdoors, and live life on their own terms.
Because our conservative roots run so deep, nearly every candidate for office runs as a Republican. But here's the challenge: when everyone claims the same label, how do you know which "Republican" truly shares YOUR values?
The answer is to look past the label and examine the record. Before you cast your vote, ask four key questions:

Who funds them? Follow the money to see who's really backing the candidate.

What have they actually done? If they're an incumbent, look at the legislation they've written.

Who do they stand with? Identify the organizations and groups they've chosen to join.

Do their actions match their words? Review their track record of defending the conservative ideals that matter most to you.
Real conservative leadership shows itself through ACTION—not just talk.
Follow the money.
Following the money is crucial to understanding who is backing whom. Thankfully, Idaho provides a simple online tool that shows all the funds a candidate has received and the expenses they have incurred.
Primaries are key.
Idaho's primary elections are crucial. This is where the battle for the heart of the Republican party is fought and won.
Using the four questions we outlined will help you identify and vote for candidates who will genuinely represent YOUR conservative values. While it is difficult for a Democrat to win in our state, it is not impossible. Voting for a STRONG conservative in the primary is the best way to ensure Idaho does not become a liberal stronghold.
