Tony Wisniewski

Currently serving his fourth term as a State Representative, Tony is a dedicated social and fiscal conservative guided by his Christian principles and a deep commitment to preserving freedom. His public service journey began in 2008 when he was elected Precinct Committeeman, later serving as Vice Chairman of the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee for eight years.
Tony’s engineering background is a cornerstone of his effectiveness as a legislator. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University, he has worked in the nuclear, aerospace, and manufacturing sectors, saving companies over $2.1 million through innovative solutions. As one of the few engineers in the Legislature, he uses a systematic approach to tackle complex issues and deliver real solutions for Idaho.
A strong advocate for vocational and technical education, Tony has served on local advisory boards and helped secure over $250,000 in donations to support technical programs and students. His dedication to Idaho’s future extends to his family, with three generations now calling Post Falls home. With decades of professional, civic, and leadership experience, Tony remains committed to strengthening Idaho and serving his constituents effectively.
Outside of his professional and civic duties, he has been married for 46 years and is the proud father of five children and grandfather to 21 grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, reading, and working on home projects.
